Mission Africa Community Health Outreach Initiative
Health on a Roll Comes to Sapele!
In November 2026, the University of Ibadan's Health on a Roll Mobile Clinic, in partnership with Northwestern University, will join Mission Africa for a four-day community health outreach in Sapele, Delta State. Over those four days, healthcare professionals, public health practitioners, students, and community volunteers will offer free health screenings, preventive services, and health education to Sapele residents, along with guidance on where to turn for continued care. The goal is not to replace what already exists locally, but to strengthen it: surfacing unmet health needs, catching conditions early, and connecting people to the clinics and providers who can support them long after the mobile clinic moves on.
The partnership brings together Health on a Roll's experience in mobile care delivery and community engagement with Mission Africa's deep local roots and long-standing relationships across underserved Nigerian communities. Together, both organizations share one aim, advancing health equity in a way that builds trust, raises health literacy, and leaves lasting pathways to better health.
